I always feel most safe at home with my family where I know I am with people who love me and people who I love. It's difficult going to school so far away but great knowing no matter how far away I go, I can always come back home.

Unfortunately I am terrible at accepting compliments. Most of the time I think people are joking and so I sort of laugh it off or make some sarcastic comment. I didn't really notice it until an old friend pointed it out recently.

I would like to give a big ray of sunshine to my grandma who is currently surrounded by rainclouds both literally and figuritively. I would give happy wishes to my older brother who is getting married on Saturday and I would give free pass to my little sister who has to take a math and biology final tomorrow.

Music is like my air. I feel it, breath it and live it. I have been playing the piano since I was six years old, so I am going on 14 years. I also play the guitar. This year my sister and I have made it our summer project to learn to play the cello. We found one on eBay for $200 and are teaching ourselves to play. My sister has played the violin for several years so we figured it couldn't be much different. Learning an instrument really helps concentration and patience, both of which are qualities I could use more practice in!!

I would make the choice to be happy and for life to be everything I want and expect it to be. Of course I would make the choice to be happy, and I have!!! My life is amazing because I have made that choice, and when you make decisions like that the universe is bound to give you that.

My room is a college dorm so I guess it's arranged the way it is because University Housing has no imagination. My roommate and I do the best we can to make our room a place we can relax and a space we can enjoy. We plastered the walls with pictures of our families and friends, posters of our favorite movies, and pictures and letters from home.

The first thing I remember learning was my Grandpa teaching me how to count money. He and my Grandma owned a Hallmark store for over 40 years and so that was something that he did everyday. I must have been about 5 years old when he and my Grandma came to visit our family and he sat down with me and told me that smart girls knew how to count money. He wouldn't let me leave the table until I could count back change in my head, stack it and count it. That lesson was so valuable to me.

I trust my mom more than anything else in the entire world because she trusts me to make my own judgments. Of course we had our problems while I was growing up but she is my best friend and I know that she wants the best for me. Whenever I have a problem my mom won't give me the answer, she trusts me to figure it out by myself. It's weird but I really do trust her because she trusts me. That really means a lot to someone growing up.

Ok this question is old but I really loved it so I wanted to reply. I lived in Las Vegas until I was almost 8 years old so I had the advantage of having a pool in my backyard. My swimming lessons consisted of my older brother, and best friend, Spencer shoving me into the pool and telling me "big girls swim!" Everyday from about 9 to 7 at night we would swim with small breaks for food and the occasional nap. It was some of the best times of my life!
